Executive Director: Congressman Mike Doyle

Congressman Mike Doyle is the representative for Pennsylania’s 14th Congressional District (the fighting 14th). The district is based in Pittsburgh and includes most of Allegheny County.

In the 110th Congress, Doyle serves on the powerful Energy and Commerce Committee where he is and is the Vice Chairman of the Subcommittee on Telecommunications and the Internet, Veterans’ Affairs Committee, and is also one of five Democrats serving on the House Ethics Committee. In past congresses, he served as a member of the Science and Technology Committee.

Congressman Doyle supports prohibiting job discrimination based on sexual orientation, a constitutional Amendment for equal rights by gender, reintroducing the Equal Rights Amendment, among many other progressive issues. Congressman Doyle has opposed the Iraq war from day one. He opposes Constitutionally defining marriage as one-man-one-woman, making the PATRIOT Act permanent, a Constitutional Amendment banning same-sex marriage, and banning gay adoptions in DC.
