At the Democratic State Committee last weekend, Senator Arlen Specter was overwhelmingly endorsed for his re-election bid. Even though weather threatened to keep many State Party members away from Lancaster, the crowd was enthusiastic about the years upcoming elections.

77% of the State Party voted to endorse the Senator, exceeding the 2/3 requirement for endorsement.

No endorsement was conferred for the gubernatorial race.
